This Japanese style hybrid Tanto has a blade made from fourty layers of 1084 high carbon tool steel, 15N20 and pure nickel. The blade has been acid etched and has then recieved a long soak in strong coffee to give the blade that very dark colour. The blade length is around 200mm, blade thickness is 5mm on the spine and the overall length of the knife is 315mm. The handle is wrapped in a blueish/grey Japanese silk Ito which has then been reinforced with resin. The Ito lays over white Samigawa/ray skin and holds in place two Kongosho Menuki. The sheath is a leather wet moulded pouch design dyed black with Kydex rivets along its outer edge and comes with a Spyderco G-clip belt attachment. This set up gives the sheath a completely ambidextrous carry sysytem.
